Delicious Homemade Donuts

If you are looking for a simple breakfast this is the recipe for you. It is so easy and fairly quick.  It will be 30 minutes from start to finish.

This is what you will need to create this concoction:
tubes of refrigerated biscuits (one biscuit = 1 donut)
cinnamon and sugar to taste
oil to fry the donuts in (I used veg. oil)

First, you poke a hole in the middle of the biscuit to form a donut.
Then, you put them in HOT oil and fry them until they are golden brown.  I do flip them to make sure they are cooked on both sides.

I set them on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil.

Combine cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and mix it well.  Then, throw the hot donuts in the mixture.
I coated them generously in cinnamon and sugar.

And, then I enjoyed WAY too many of them.  :)  See... easy, peezy.

  3. I love these! My husband and kids used to make them every year for Mother's Day. I would lay in bed, pretending to be asleep, listening to the loud whispers, the clanging, and the occasional crashing; then pretend to be surprised when they showed up with a tray of yummy donuts, sweet homemade cards, and flowers picked from the garden. Thanks for bringing back a sweet memory. Gosh, those donuts were yummy, too!
