Candle Sticks

I got these ashtrays candlesticks from my grandparents when they sold their house.  They are really old fashioned ashtrays, but I'm using them as candle sticks.  When we were going through their stuff deciding what we wanted for our homes, I didn't know where I would put them, but I knew I could find a place.  I am trying to get away from the "cherry" finish and bring some color into my home, so I figured these could help me with that task.

I put on two coats of Rustoleum Winter Grey spray paint.

After I painted them I sanded them in spots that looked like they might receive a little "wear" naturally.

Here they are sitting in my foyer.  I plan on taking down the metal wall decor and putting up a framed world map.  We'll see...
