I don’t know about you, but I adore old homes. I love thinking about the history wrapped up within the home and how much the home has withstood. It is kind of like my adoration for older, wiser people. I used to sit and listen to my Grandad tell me stories and it never got old. Or, watching my Nene do needlepoint and thinking it was so amazing the things she could create.
That’s kind of what an old home is like.

While I enjoy perusing and peeking into any old home, my heart belongs to colonials. They are simple, but regal, and I just plan ol’ love them. Even though we don’t have an old home, per say, nor do we have a colonial, I’m still taking a nod from those homes as we slowly change some things in our current home.

In case you enjoy seeing homes and things people love about other homes, I thought I’d share some pictures of homes I’ve found on the web that I appreciate very much. I hope to share more about our own home and some updates we’ve done to it in the last two years in upcoming blog posts, so hang tight!
In the meantime, follow me on Pinterest and see what I pin there.
