I am trying my hand at canning this summer. I have never done it, and wasn’t sure how it would go. I had planned on doing pickles and salsa, but my cucumber plants didn’t take very well… so, salsa it is!!! I had to peel and chop the tomatoes, so I started by tossing them in boiling water until their skins split, and then I tossed them into ice cold water. This is where my little helper came into play.
He made sure the water was nice and evenly chilled by stirring it with a passion.
He might have even taste tested the ice cubes to make sure they wouldn’t taint the taste of the tomatoes. He was so cute “helping” mommy with the salsa.
