Italian Sourdough Croutons

Salads instantly taste better with homemade croutons. The flavor profile is just… better! You can use these croutons in soups, too! I love setting them on the table when we have potato or chicken noodle soup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf Sourdough bread
  • Olive oil
  • 2 Teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Cut bread into cubes. You can make them the size you are wanting for your salad.
  • Add the diced bread to a medium mixing bowl.
    Drizzle the bread with oil and mix it to coat all sides in oil.
  • Season the croutons with Italian seasoning and toss to coat all sides.
  • Place the bread in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 5-7 minutes.

Homemade Italian Seasoning

  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Basil
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Rosemary
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Thyme
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
