Chicken Marinade
- 4 5 ounce boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey
Creamy Sauce
- ½ cup salsa
- ½ cup plain greek yogurt, or sour cream
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
Chicken
Pound your chicken breasts to ½ inch thickness if they are thick or slice them in half so you have two thin chicken breasts.
Combine all of your marinade ingredients in a large ziplock bag and mix them well.
Add your chicken to the bag, seal, and shake it around to coat the chicken.
Marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Place the chicken on the hot grill and grill for 5-6 minutes per side or until no longer pink and chicken reaches 165°F.
While chicken is resting, place buttered buns on the grill and toast the buns.
