- 2 packages fresh or store bough pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, for rolling
- 1 stick softened butter
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon melted butter, for brush on top
Preheat your oven to 425°F and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough and take a dinner plate and lay it on top of the dough. With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut around the outside of the plate to form a large circle of dough. Lay the dough on parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix your herbed butter ingredients: butter, garlic, italian seasoning.Spread the butter on the bottom crust. Sprinkle the cheese on top of the butter.
Roll out the top crust, cut it in a circle like you did the bottom crust, and lay it on top of the bottom crust and butter.
Place a small glass in the center of the circle and slice 3/4 inch to 1 inch slices in the dough, stopping at the glass. Twist them in the same direction.
Brush the top of the wreath with melted butter.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden.
This recipe is a great idea for pizza night, pasta night, or even a dinner party. It’s a little twist on traditional garlic bread that’s sure to impress your family.
The best part is that it’s one of the easiest breads to make, even if it’s your first time handling pizza or bread dough.
If you’re making this ahead of time, you can place your wreath in the refrigerator for 2 hours prior to baking it.
