Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll it to about 1/3 inch thick. You want it to bake through, so don't keep the dough too thick.
Spread the pizza sauce all over the surface of the crust. Do a thin coating of sauce.
Add a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese to the sauce.
Top with pepperonis, or other toppings of your choice, and roll it tightly like cinnamon rolls.
You want to roll it length-wise so you have a long log. Start at one long side and roll the pizza dough until you reach the other long end.
Slice the pizza log into 1 inch slices and place in your prepared pan. I like to use a sharp serrated knife for this since it can be difficult to cut the pepperonis. Cut slowly and hold your dough log together with your free hand.
Place in your preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the rolls are cooked through.
Notes
You may fill these with any toppings you like!If you'd like a homemade pizza dough, my recipe is delicious! If you use a thick sauce, you may add more. If your sauce is thin, like mine, use sparingly so it doesn't soak the crust. I often sprinkle our rolls with Italian seasoning and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for flavor.
