  • 1 Large Skillet


Spicy Cilantro Slaw

  • ¼ cup avocado oil
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Dan-O's taco seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 12 ounces packaged coleslaw mix

Shrimp tacos

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined, without tails
  • 3 teaspoons Dan-O's taco seasoning, or more to taste
  • 8 flour fajita tortillas


  • In a small bowl, add you sauce ingredients and whisk until combined.
  • Add the slaw mix, stir well and chill for 15 minutes.
  • Lay your shrimp on paper towels to soak up the moisture.
  • Sprinkle the Dan-O's taco seasoning over the shrimp. Add more if necessary, to taste.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in it.
  • Add your shrimp in batches, turning once they are seared on one side so you can sear the second side. Transfer to a clean plate and repeat with the rest of the shrimp.
  • Lay a tortilla on a plate and top with your desired toppings- guacamole, sour cream, green onion. To that, add a layer of shrimp followed by the spicy slaw.


Don’t overcrowd the shrimp when you’re searing or else the pan will fill with too much liquid and your shrimp won’t get crispy.
